Dan G. Bell
Dan Bell has been an executive in the high technology industry, working with world-class companies such as Honeywell, Xerox, Apple Computer, US Robotics, 3Com and Canon. Dan has held the role of Global Vice President, Consumer Product Support with US Robotics and 3Com, driving industry leading customer programs around the world for high technology consumer products. From 2002 – 2011, Dan served as the Vice President, Senior Vice President, and President of Canon Information Technology Services in Chesapeake, VA, a Canon USA subsidiary responsible for national customer support programs and product support. Canon achieved #1 industry ranking for eight consecutive years, 2003 – 2011.
A native Chicagoan, Dan moved to the Hampton Roads area (southeast Virginia) in 2002. Dan has been married to wife Patty since 1975, has two daughters; Rachael (middle school math teacher) and Bridget, (management consultant), and three grandchildren; Harrison, Simone and Gavin. Dan currently owns and operates Consulting by DGB at www.consultingbydgb.com and is an active volunteer serving on several boards and community roles: Hampton Roads Innovation Collaborative, Future of Hampton Roads, Chesapeake Economic Development Authority, and CIVIC Leadership. He formerly served on the boards of Lead Hampton Roads, Habitat for Humanity South Hampton Roads, Opportunity Inc., Hampton Roads Partnership, Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, Hampton Roads Business Education Collaborative, Chesapeake Technology Business Consortium, Virginia Conflict Resolution Center of Norfolk, and the Hampton Roads Regional Council among others. Dan is a contributing writer to the area’s business paper (Inside Business) “The Experts" section.
